Can't Believe It's Still There 04.05.25
A line up with a bit of everything, for anyone and everyone.
This week’s edit is modest in colour and print (aside from one final piece), but definitely not in what it delivers. Think great vintage, beautiful fabrics, and pieces in excellent condition.
Not going to lie — I was tempted more than once to keep a few of these to myself. But ever since I started this Substack, I feel like I have to keep up my reputation. I can’t be caught slacking… or hoarding the good stuff.
Enjoy!
A very comfortable yet chic black suede moccasin by Prada. Lined with fur, so it works year-round.
Big enough for everything you need headed to work, chic enough to carry you into the evening.
A classic-cut pony hair leather jacket. If, like me, you wear a lot of black, experimenting with fabrics and textures is a nice way to keep things interesting — while still staying comfortable in your favourite shade.
Jil Sander cashmere & wool co-ord. I own several blazers and jackets, and the fit never disappoints — always flattering.
At this point, no edit feels complete without adding a leather jacket. I’m making it a personal challenge to always include at least one — classic, well-fitted, and well-priced.
A vintage Prada wrap skirt with a velcro closure, made from a technical fabric. While the cut feels quite classic and chic, the fabric and velcro detail add a playful, youthful twist — making it a surprisingly versatile piece.
Now, I’d honestly love to keep this one for myself, but I’m trying to save up. It’s been sitting in my tabs for weeks — skipped over in several edits — but I need to get it out of my head. An incredibly cute cotton knitted polo by Prada (would probably look amazing with the skirt above).
Remember that scene in Sex and the City, season 2, episode 15 (“Shortcomings”, to be exact) — where Carrie’s walking through the city in that iconic short grey tank dress, beige Gucci top-handle bag, and oversized Ray-Ban aviators?
This red elastic dress by Wolford gives me that same energy. Different colour, same hot, body-hugging dress.
Elegant black skirt by Agnès B. — you really can’t go wrong. Hard to explain, but I’ve seen this one in real life and the fabric is surprisingly flattering: soft, flowy, with a slightly technical feel. Also, the adjustable waistband with small press buttons (which adds pleats here and there) is such a clever, little detail.
A playful twist on the classic white tee by MAX&Co. You can wear it both ways!
A vintage blazer made elegant with faux fur trim at the collar and sleeves. Quietly fabulous.
A navy feminine trench by Agnès B. — classic tailoring with a soft, elegant twist.
Vintage YSL blazer in a beautifully bold shade of red.
A fabulous raw silk jacket in glowing lime, completed with mother-of-pearl buttons.
Chic and budget-friendly option for a wedding guest dress — understated and graceful, without stealing the bride’s spotlight.
Red and black colour-blocked bathing suit by Andrés Sardá. Graphic, flattering, and very main character at the pool.
€15 Xavier Danaud real leather shoes — total grandma-core in the best possible way. If they weren’t a size 37, they’d already be mine.
Sheer cropped blouse by Gianfranco Ferré — very sexy paired with a chic black bra. Simple, but effective.
Anna Molinari blazer with a very elegant and slightly dramatic collar.
Vintage 80s Valentino polka dot silk skirt, complete with a beautifully detailed built-in belt.
Ending on a high note: vintage Gianfranco Ferré leather pants in bold zebra stripes.
Loud and over the top.
